How did you find out about shared ownership?
I was looking to leave home and was looking at what we can afford and we discovered shared ownership. I found a flat on a new build development nearby to us which was perfect.
How did you decide that shared ownership was right for you?
Getting on the property ladder was important to me, I wanted somewhere that was mine but buying outright was not an option as the money needed is so high and out of reach for us at the moment.
When you saw your new home for the first time, how did it make you feel?
I loved it instantly, it was so fresh and bright, I felt right at home and couldn't wait to make it my own.
What do you love about your new home?
The layout and the amount of windows makes it so bright and airy, the fixtures are such high quality and the carpets are beautiful. It just feels like home already.
What would you say to someone thinking about buying a home with shared ownership but wasn’t sure?
Go for it - if you want your own beautiful new home do it!
